Final Drive Maintenance
Under normal operating circumstances, no routine maintenance is required on your final drive except routine oil checks and oil changes.
To minimise the risk of premature failure of the final drive, the following guidelines should be adhered to;
Inspection | Frequency | Action |
---|---|---|
Tightening screws | After the first 50 operating hours of the gearbox | Screws tightening torque check |
Oil level | Every 100 operating hours of the gearbox | Refill oil if necessary |
1st oil change | At 50 operating hours of the gearbox | Oil replacement |
2nd oil change | At 200 operating hours of the gearbox | Oil replacement |
Next oil change | Every 500 operating hours or at least one a year | Oil replacement |
When it is time to install your final drive, see our table of standard torque settings.
*Unusual operating characteristics, such as noise or overheat, should indicate further investigation*
