A Unique Challenge: A 55-Year-Old Gearbox
A recent project of ours involved repairing a gearbox that was originally sold and manufactured in 1969, making it 55 years old. Due to the age of the drive, all components other than the ID of the input drive was imperial. Therefore wherever possible, our team repaired existing shafts, but for the parts that were beyond saving, we manufactured new components to the original specifications.
