We are pleased to announce that Plant Parts is now an official Company Supporter of Lighthouse – The Construction Industry Charity.
Lighthouse is the only charity that provides mental, physical, and financial well-being support to the construction community and their families. Their mission is to;
- Reduce construction industry suicides
- Improve workforce welfare and wellbeing for this generation and the next
- Keep their key support services free for everyone in our industry to access
The charity has developed 5 free support services.
These are for anyone in construction or allied trades to access and consist of;
- 24/7 Confidential Helpline
- Text HardHat service – immediate access to text back counselling
- Self-support app
- Wellbeing Masterclass Sessions
- Lighthouse Beacons – over 160 volunteer centres around the UK and Ireland
By becoming a Company Supporter of Lighthouse we’re not only supporting the amazing work they do across our industry but also using their resources to create our very own ‘Road to Workforce Wellbeing’ to provide support to our own team.
In 2023, Lighthouse saw 4438 people reach out for support through their 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline which was a 30% increase on the previous year. The on-site team also made a life-changing and life-saving 147 critical interventions. The need for the kind of support Lighthouse provides is evident, and Plant Parts are very proud to be an annual contributor to such important work.
