We were very proud to announce that Plant Parts has become the first, official off-highway service partner for ZF Services UK. ZF UK has been developing and producing parts for the construction equipment sector for decades, equipping a wide range of construction vehicles with state-of-the-art driveline technology. Through this new service partner agreement, ZF’s full range of Heavy Excavator parts and complete assemblies, as well as conventional off-highway parts for Wheel Loaders and Articulated Dump Trucks, will be available to Plant Parts customers. Following the announcement, we had a very productive visit from some of the key team members from ZF Aftermarket here at PPHQ.
Mark Bowen – Business Manager Off-Highway Division and David Cumberworth – EU Services Zone 2 Sales Industrial UK spent the day with the Plant Parts team as we looked at the year ahead and how our partnership will greatly enhance access and technical guidance to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
To kick the year off we have also been receiving exciting updates on our highly anticipated test rig. We are still a few months away from completion, but are very happy to say that we will start to see the very final stages coming together.
This bespoke rig, for the testing of Swing Drive and Final Drive Hydraulic Motors, will expand our repair capabilities enormously. Specially designed for our workshop, this new equipment will enable load testing of up to 132 kW increasing the services we can offer to our customers.
We also started the year supporting SHINE sponsoring their Supporting Parents and Carers 2024 virtual balloon race on 5th January. Shine provides specialist support to those living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are almost entirely funded by the generosity of the general public, with the balloon races making a significant contribution to their funds every year. Plant Parts chooses to sponsor a number of the virtual races throughout the year, which help Shine continue to provide the vital services their members urgently need.
