Effective wind turbine control ensures long structural life, low maintenance costs, safe operation and optimum power output. Key elements in a control system are multiple planetary gearboxes that control the pitch of each blade and the rotation (yaw) of the nacelle.

From its 30-year experience with the planetary gearboxes as fitted to tracked vehicles and slewing excavators, Plant Parts is well placed to provide wind turbine operators with the repair of existing wind turbine gearboxes and the supply of replacements.
